Learn how to search public databases and evaluate the legal novelty of your idea before applying for a utility patent.

How to Request a Spot Submission of a USPTO interest form is required to participate. Requests are considered on a rolling, approval-only basis through August 25. If your participation request is approved, the USPTO will email you instructions on how to complete your final registration. Submit your interest form early to secure consideration!
